~ via savingpaper: Sen. Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.), the longest serving member of Congress in American history, in response to a constituent’s question of how many presidents he had served under. Byrd, who was haunted his whole career by his involvement with the KKK early in life and who transformed himself into a champion of the legislative branch and West Virginia, died Monday at 92.
