Julie made me promise to blog immediately when I get the VP announcement from the Obama campaign. (Of course I would anyway.) Liz made me promise to then text her because, as she says, “I’m always the last to know these things.”

That’s me! The CNN of the “Bon Temps, Big City” crew.

Obama wouldn’t announce on Friday, right? And surely not a Friday afternoon? News cycles and low attention periods and blah blah blah mass media blah blah, but really — he’s not gonna do this thing on Friday. Even if it is Tim Kaine.
